Title: Bad Reputation
Author: S.L. Scott
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: December 7, 2018
Being bad never felt so good.
I fell for Ally the moment I saw her. Who doesn’t like a confident, intelligent woman with curves I could spend days exploring?
Who am I kidding?
Our story ended abruptly when she packed her bags and left like we weren’t meant to be. We are. So I’m calling her bluff. That’s how I ended up thousands of miles from home, standing next to a man who claims to be her fiancé.
Being good has never felt so bad.
When it comes to a successful man with an incredible body and biteable jaw aka Hutton . . . let’s just say willpower is not my strong suit.
Try bad-boy American.
Embracing my newfound good girl status, I do the right thing to start my reign. My desires no longer matter. The monarchy, the people, and my country do. There is no place for love in this new life.
But I never expected to see him again, much less standing next to my royally appointed soon-to-be fiancé.
As if that didn’t complicate things, he’s wearing a perfectly tailored tuxedo and my favorite smirk. I straighten my crown and adjust my dress, realizing this good girl never stood a chance. I’ll take the bad reputation if I get him.
This SECOND CHANCE ROYAL STANDALONE Romance by New York Times Bestselling Author, S.L. Scott, will have you feeling like the Queen of your own fairy tale. One-click this new romance and fall in love while reading.
"I could write poetry about Hutton Everest's ass. As a matter of fact, I have. Roses are red. Violets are blue. I want to bite his ass and squeeze it too. I didn't say it was good poetry. Just an ode to sort of thing."
I'm a fan of the author's work, so for me, everything she writes is a yes, please. I went into this story not knowing what I was in for, just knew that it would be good, she never disappoints. But she does surprise...always finding a way to pull the rug out from under me just when I think I have things all figured out. True, I do always think I know what's coming, but I'm usually wrong. That's what I love about the author's writing, she throws out the bait and I bite every time, then she reels me in, a willing captive to my Kindle.
Hutton used to be a ladies man, until her. He saw things in her that others overlooked. She could have anyone in the room, but she only saw him. She didn't mean to lead him on or break his heart when she left. She was just trying to have some fun before she went back to her life and responsibilities. She thought the American bad boy would just be a fond memory when she resumed her duties and fulfilled her destiny. She was born to rule, so she must let him go. She didn't intend to leave her heart behind, but she did.
Hutton had me at hello and it broke my heart when she said goodbye to him. "—and then you tell me we can't be together like I can walk away unscathed. Like I can somehow forget that this fire between us hasn't burned my soul to ashes already."
I wanted to speed read or cheat and skip to the part where I could breathe again. As I was reading this incredible story I was wishing that my reading device was like a game controller with interactive buttons I could push to make things happen. I wanted to blow up more than one person and would have enjoyed watching the BOOM! I confess, I had some very unladylike feelings more than a time or twenty. I was so engrossed I didn't even try to go to bed, I just kept reading all night. A #BookHangover is not too much to suffer when my characters needed me to help them find their HEA, right? It's not like they could make it without my carefully worded thoughts (x*#@) regarding their dire situation.
I wish I could tell you about the exciting twists and turns, but it's so thrilling to experience it firsthand. I would never deprive you of that excitement. Just trust me, you need to read this story. And, I need to read Bennett's story. There will be one, right? Pretty please? The line forms here...
Living in the capital of Texas with her family, Scott loves traveling and avocados, beaches, and cooking with her kids. She's obsessed with epic romances and loves a good plot twist. Her favorite color is blue, but she likens it more toward the sky than the emotion. Her home is filled with the welcoming symbol of the pineapple and finds surfing a challenge though she likes to think she's a pro.
