“I um… Can you hold it out for me?” she asks, blushing a bright red again. Torrent is such a mixture of shyness and sarcasm that she intrigues me every minute I’m with her—just wanting to see what she does next.
I stretch the towel out holding it in both of my arms. I look at her over the top of it, leering with my face showing nothing but challenge.
“Like this, Angel?”
“I’m trusting you not to peek,” she warns.
“Scouts honor,” I grin.
“Turn your head.”
She waits until I do it, and then stands. The sound of water sloshing, makes my mind go wild. I know the visions I’m picturing could only pale to the real thing…

I like my MC Romance dark and dirty and that’s exactly what the author gave me with Devil. She gave me real characters, flaws and all. She made me yell at them, and worry about them, and love them unconditionally after going through hell with them. And there were those characters that I wanted to send straight to hell. She raised my blood pressure and my temperature by inducing rage and passion with her words.
Devil is a lovable devil. He’s not shy or modest and he’s not ashamed of his cockiness. Actually, he’s quite proud of his cock too. All of these traits are well known by those that know him. But once he sets his sights on her, his angel, the devil’s behavior is tamed. She makes him want things he’s never wanted before, and she turns him down, repeatedly. Will he be able to turn her ‘no’ into a ‘yes’? When he taunts her with, “I could make you like it”, he had me wanting it.
She keeps telling him ‘no’ but it gets harder every time. He’s a temptation that she doesn’t need in her life, but she can’t stop herself from wanting him. He not like anyone she’s ever been around. He pushes her buttons, making her laugh and lust for him. He doesn’t know the real her, just the parts that she allows him to see. Would he still want her if he knew her secrets?
Lordy, what an addictive story this turned out to be. The slow burn and the suspense kept me on the edge and the dark and demented pushed me over. I wanted to throw my Kindle, but I needed it to get the answers to the questions that kept accumulating as the story unfolded. But as I’m sure you are aware if you’ve read this author previously, you won’t get all your answers because this is a continuing series. The awesome support characters have stories of their own and the club has business that will never end. That’s what makes this start of the Tennessee chapter so exciting, so much to look forward to.
