His Possession is the first book that I have read by this author and now I need to go back and read book 1 in this series. All though this is book 2 in the series, I did not feel like I missed much not reading the first book. But, that being said, I am going back to read about how Blake and Sophia got their start.

Living a life filled with glitz and glamour is not all it is cracked up to be. Always having to be someone you are not has taken its toll on Sophia. She no longer wants to live the life of a star. The further she can get away from all of it the better. Fresh out of rehab she sets out to create the life she wants only to have a new threat come to light and Sophia is scrambling to keep herself safe and sane. Never expecting to see Blake again, he steps into the role of her protector once again. Something he swore he would never do again. Several years have separated the two, but the strong feelings that they carried for one another are still so close to the surface. Will being together again bring more harm than good?

Blake has spent the last several years trying to put Sophia in his past, something that is so very hard to do. When he learns that her life may be in danger, he doesn’t hesitate to wisk her away to safety. Now he finds himself fighting his feelings for the starlet once again, but keeping her safe is his number one priority. Will he be able to keep his distance and still keep her safe or will his deep feelings for her put both their lives in danger?

I am hooked on Anna’s writing style and her attention to detail. Her characters are well developed and engaging. I was literally on the edge of my seat reading this book. I was hooked from the first chapter up until the very end and the twist came out of left field, something I did not expect at all. I now will try and wait patiently for the last book in the series to be released.
