Hannah Donovan is not my type.
Intellectual and career-focused, she’s a lawyer, and an intimidatingly beautiful one, at that. I’d rather pump iron than open a book, and the only reason I’d go to court would be for a traffic ticket.
She’s the most gorgeous woman I’ve ever seen. So how can I turn down her plea that I pretend to be her fiancé for one weekend?
But I never expected our pretend kisses to feel so real … or for it to lead to a wild night in bed that will forever stand out as the highlight of my sex life.
Our performance convinces everyone, but it was never meant to be more than a fantasy. A short term gig before reality sets back in.
I can’t imagine ever being good enough for her, but I’m hooked. And now I’m determined to do whatever it takes to make this fake engagement real.
Each novel in the series is a STANDALONE romance with a guaranteed HEA!
And don’t miss Bar Bites: A Man of the Month cookbook featuring recipes, slices of life, and an all new short story!
In Too Deep (Man of the Month, #10) by J. Kenner
Rosa’s rating: 5 of 5 iScream Cones“He’d wanted to touch her simply to find out if sparks would shoot from his fingers.”
Yup, the chemistry between these two is electric and I felt the sparks flying. My Kindle was in serious danger of melting, either from their passion or my rage. The author never fails to get me worked up one way or another. And let me tell you, I was seriously riled while reading In Too Deep.
First, I have to honor that the author doesn’t mention his name in the synopsis, so I’m not sure if she’s keeping it under wraps or not. But, I can tell you what’s not under wraps and that’s his sexy body. Did you see the cover? Wowsa! I’m sure I’m not the only one suffering a severe case of #CoverLust, right? I know I’m not alone, cuz “—as far as Hannah was concerned, he looked like sin personified.”
He has lots of talents besides keeping that ripped body in shape, but unfortunately, he’s his worst critic. Her being a smart, sexy, educated and career-minded attorney is intimidating. He’s been attracted to her for a while but never considered that she would give him the time of day. When he’s offered the chance to spend some time with her he agrees, even if it is as her ‘fake fiancé, and only for one night.
She’s not looking for a ‘real’ relationship. She’s too busy building her career that’s finally taking off. She’s on the verge of accomplishing what she’s always wanted. The only problem is… she wants him too.
I have to tell you guys, this installment of the Man of the Month series had me seeing red. There’s a character that needs his junk punched and I’d love to volunteer for that job. And then, as she always does, the author left me with a tantalizing epilogue letting me know who the next book will feature. Lordy, she works me up and then leaves me waiting for more. If you need me, I’ll just be hanging out here at The Fix on Sixth with a pitcher of Pinot Punch, gazing at my Man of the Month calendar. The line forms here…
