They groomed me for Midnight Mayhem. Like a trained possession, weak against their control.

But Midnight Mayhem was the stained glass that concealed a very dark culture.

The Brothers of Kiznitch come in fours, and they’re not happy about me being hustled into their acts.

But there’s something uglier that has been haunting me for years upon years. So ugly that I have never seen it’s face. I never had to. I’d hear his whispers through my internal screams, feel his shadow brush against my nightmares. He was my the monster that tormented me.

When I started Midnight Mayhem, his presence faded.
His whispers were silenced.
His shadow dissolving without a trace.
I wondered why that was.

“That’s the thing with King and me. We write our story in invisible ink, so no one else can read it.”
If you are an Amo Jones fan, then you are already prepared for the #MindF***KAlert that always comes with one of her stories. In Peace Lies Havoc definitely falls into that category and will have your head spinning with all the amazing characters, secrets and surprises.
In her usual brilliant way, the author put me inside the head of Dove, but she didn’t know what was going on half the time so I experienced everything right along with her. The gorgeous four, their sick sense of humor, and their talents that I can’t even begin to describe even if I was willing to share. Nope, that’s a delicious treat you need to enjoy firsthand as a spectator at Midnight Mayhem.
“I don’t want to give them any more power than they already have, and something tells me that if they knew they had my fear, they’d only use it as a snack.”
Though Dove was at a disadvantage as the Brothers of Kiznitch knew what was going on, and she was in the dark, she didn’t cower or back down. She’s badass and brilliant. Another treat is that Dove has some hidden talents of her own that I really enjoyed. The suspense in this tale is tantalizing. As each new layer is revealed and then torn away things get clearer and darker and hotter. I imagine if anyone was watching me read this book on my Kindle they would have been tempted to look over my shoulder to see what was making my eyes bug out. 👀
As I approached the end of the book I wanted to procrastinate and delay the inevitable, I was reluctant to turn that last page. But, at the same time, I’m beyond excited to see what happens when I get my hands on In Fury Lies Mischief. There are so many possibilities that it’s mind-boggling. The line forms here…
