Title: Save the Date
Author: Carrie Aarons
Genre: Romantic Comedy
Release Date: June 24, 2018
You know that pact you make with your childhood best friend of the opposite sex? The one where, if you’re both still single, lonely and hopeless at thirty, you’ll marry each other?
This is the story about what happens when you hit the big three-oh and have to make good on that pinky promise.
Personally, I think love, romance and all of that nonsense is a crock of, well, you know. And Reese Collins, the boy who used to put worms in my hair at backyard barbecues, knows that better than anyone.
But when he moves to the same city I’ve happily, and singly, inhabited for years, memories of oaths past resurface. Reese is like a dog with a bone; a really hot dog and that bone just happens to be me.
He won’t stop hounding me, and the crazy thing is, my frigid, traitorous heart is starting to cave. For my best friend.
It seems so far off, when you’re a kid playing Monopoly in your treehouse. But when that clock strikes midnight on your thirtieth birthday, and you’re standing alone in front of a grocery store-bought cupcake, a childhood deal to walk down the aisle doesn’t seem so silly anymore.

Carrie Aaron’s always writes such amazing books! Her latest romcom was hilarious, filled romance, and a lot of witty banter between two best friends. It’s told in a dual POV. Erin and Reese bring so much light to this beautiful story.
Erin works as a journalist, but hates her job. She also has a huge following on her fashion blog, which she is truly passionate about. Her love life is pretty nonexistent because of what she experienced through her parents divorce. It’s hard for her to open up her heart and allow someone in.
Reese is a NICU nurse and truly loves his job. He cares for his littlest of patients, but the parents that come with them. He recently moved back to Philadelphia and is enjoying his time with his best friend, Erin.
When Erin and Reese were younger, they made a pact, that if they weren’t married or with someone by the time they each were 30, they would get married. Seemed silly at the time, but as there birthdays grow closer, the pact is constantly on their minds. They know the in’s and outs of one another. After one amazing kiss, Reese knows that he just can’t live without Erin as just his best friend anymore. Erin is having a hard time trying to accept that she is falling in love with her best friend. Her parents divorced when she was 25 and she is trying to figure out how something she thought was perfect, could just not be.
Will Reese get Erin to finally thaw out her ice cold heart? Can Erin be open minded to falling in love with Reese? What is store for them if they do indeed keep the pact?
I loved this book! I pulled an all-nighter reading it and I haven’t done that in so long. This book had me laughing, crying, and then laughing even more! What had me so hooked was the way Erin and Reese were with each other. Highly recommend for a fantastic summer read! Great job Carrie!!
