Po’Boy, Wrench, and Crissy show how they’re meant to be in this saucy and sassy story about love, and change, and doing a whole lot more than just getting by.

Now that Po’Boy has found his happy with the two people he loves more than life itself, he just has to figure out how to keep it. Their triad relationship walks a finely balanced line between the demands of their outside lives and in bed, and Po’Boy is determined to keep things good and sweet for his lovers.

Change is unavoidable, no matter how much a body might wish otherwise, and outside of the relationship, Po’Boy’s role seems to shift with the wind, leaving him scrambling to keep his equilibrium both within the club he owes fealty to and with his ride-or-die, Twisted.

Nothing in life is easy, but with Wrench and Crissy around, he knows the love they share is worth fighting for, even if the worst of the demons he has to fight are buried deep inside himself. They’ll give him shelter for his heart.

“If he can still string words together, I’m doin’ it wrong.”

MariaLisa deMora decided to throw her readers a bone and give us a glimpse into the lives of PoBoy, Crissy & Wrench. I say a glimpse because it’s a novella that opens doors that tease the reader with possibilities and hopes for future books. My curiosity and imagination have been poked and I’m already ready for more of them and I just turned the last page!

I love the banter between the characters and find myself smiling as I’m reading. I love how the men worship Crissy and take her sass, and like it. PoBoy and Wrench have their own way of getting their point across and, even when they aren’t saying anything. And other times, a few words go a long way.

“…but at some point, not making a decision is makin’ one, you know?”

What makes her one of my favorite authors is MariaLisa’s ability to give her characters a voice that I can hear. I don’t know how else to explain it. Her books always give me the feels and leave me wanting more. As a special treat, the author shares some recipes mentioned in the story. This tale will have her readers hot in the kitchen and in the bedroom, leaving them heated and hungry. 😉 The line forms here…

Raised in the south, MariaLisa learned about the magic of books at an early age. Every summer, she would spend hours in the local library, devouring books of every genre. Self-described as a book-a-holic, she says “I’ve always loved to read, but then I discovered writing, and found I adored that, too. For reading … if nothing else is available, I’ve been known to read the back of the cereal box.”

A hockey fan, hiker, gamer, and single mom of a special needs son, she embraces her inner geek and has been working in the tech field for a publishing company for a couple decades.

Music is a driving passion, and she says, “I love music of nearly any genre — jazz, country, rock, alt rock, metal, classical, bluegrass, rap, hip hop … you name it, I listen to it. I can often be seen dancing through the house in the early mornings. But I really, REALLY love live music. My favorite thing with music is seeing bands in small, dive bars
[read: small, intimate venues]. If said bar [venue] has a good selection of premium tequila, then that’s a plus!”
