The author’s Back-Up series is one of my all-time favorites in the rockstar romance genre. Learning that there was a new Lair in town was very exciting to me and I couldn’t wait to read Shock Jock. Now that I’ve had the pleasure, let’s just say I’m still a #LairLover and I have book boyfriend(s).

Vaughn is the sexy voice over the radio that just so happens to have the body to match. You never know when you’re listening to the radio, right? But when Vaughn is on , you get the full package. Once you see his face and the rest of him on a billboard, your listening pleasure gets even better. Women all over are mentally undressing him as they listen to him give sex advice to his callers. No topic is taboo and he doesn’t hold back with his answers. And he’s not afraid to tell callers that they’re not doing it right or to give instructions on how to do it better. He had me wishing I could hear him for real, and hoping that the author plans to release this book in audio.

When Vaughn accepted the job for a syndicated radio show in New York, he had high expectations. When things don’t turn out the way that he expects them to, he struggles. He wants to give his listeners what they want, and he wants his new show to be successful. But something is missing… He never in a million years would have figured out on his own what he needed to turn things around. Good thing it wasn’t left up to him, huh? When events beyond his control started to happen, the man with all the answers had none for himself.

I really enjoyed getting to know another Lair and his lady. I liked her a lot. I want so much to tell you about her, but since she wasn’t mentioned in the synopsis, I’ll keep her to myself. She really made him work for it, much to my amusement and reading pleasure. And speaking of pleasure, he’s not all talk, he practices what he teaches. So, lucky listeners, lucky readers, and lucky lady.
