This is the second opportunity that I have had to read an Ella James book and she now has me hooked. I absolutely love the way she tells the story of Dash and Amelia. Her characters are well written and engaging.I was sucked in from the very first page and left wanting more in the end.

The Boy Next Door is relatively fast paced and although I loved it I felt that the twist may have come a tad to late. I loved how there was dual pov and the fact that we got flashbacks to when Amelia and Dash first met. They had this near instant bond. Dash’s sister Lex and Amelia were best friends.

Amelia has just started yet another internship/job as a writer for children’s animated films. Something that she has wanted to do for a long time. One the first day of her new job, her past smacks her in the face. Dash…she hasn’t seen him in a long time and she has never gotten over her feelings for him. What drove me crazy is the fact that she lets him continue to treat her like she means nothing to him. She doesn’t play hard to get, she makes excuses for him and he fights his feelings for her the entire time, thinking that he is protecting her from his past.

I seriously loved Dash’s character. The gorgeous, sexy, older brother. The boy next door that knew everything about her. That cared about her and wanted nothing more than to make her happy. He was Amelia’s knight in shining armor that one fateful day that she landed in his pool.

Can Dash come clean with his past and finally admit just how much Amelia means to him? Can Amelia find it in her heart to forgive Dash for not staying in touch? Will they be able to work out their differences and find the happiness that they both so strongly want and deserve? Grab your copy of The Boy Next Door and get sucked in from the first few pages like I did and get lost in the fast paced story that is the love of Dash and Amelia.
