I finished The Flight of Hope yesterday and I knew I couldn't write a review just then, so I came to Goodreads, posted that I was done reading, put it on my favorites shelf (cuz this book is certainly a favorite now!!) as well and gave it 5 fan-dam-tastic Stars!!! Then I needed to calm my nerves..I had tears running down my face and that thick knot in my throat...my heart was broken!!! But Y'all this story is sooo beautiful...SOOOO B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L!!!
When I started Flight of Hope, I thought ohhh shit, this book is going to gut me. The story starts off with a tragedy and then the story flips back to the past and you fall in love with a sweet childhood friendship that turns into love, then marriage and then a story about a military life. The heartache of trying to conceive and having a husband in the military hoping and praying he will come home safe to her.
I really hate to do this, but I am ending my review here, I don't want to say much more, I went into this book blind and really that is how everyone should go in. There is much more to this story then what I even wrote. Just know that you will need a box of Kleenex and probably a Xanax while reading...lol I am such a huge HJ Bellus fan and I do have to say that The Flight of Hope is now my favorite book by her even though she broke my heart!!! xxoo
