Weirdly beautiful…

Carian Cole has worked her way into being one of my favorite authors. She always manages to touch all of my emotions and wrings anger, heartache, passion and smiles out of me…every time. I’d been looking forward to Tied for a while after meeting Ty in a previous book. He really intrigued me and got my imagination working overtime trying to guess what happened to him. Of course, my imagination didn’t come close to the reality. This story will stay with me for a long time, on replay, as my mind processes how “weirdly good” it is.

I don’t want to give anything away, so I won’t go into any details of the story. I’ll just tell you that the characters are beautifully broken. Full of anger and pain and passion that has been numbed to protect their hearts. They are afraid to open the door out of fear of letting the demons in, but if they don’t, they can’t get to each other. Their journey from darkness in search of light is heartbreaking and beautiful. The fact that they are both broken and scarred, full of secrets and painful memories make them perfect for each other. Will they find the strength to allow their painful pasts to come to the surface? Will they find the will to shed their protective layers, revealing to each other what’s buried beneath? “We’re kinda made of the same ripped-up cloth.”

I’m a huge fan of the Ashes & Embers series and I’m hoping to see some of those characters mentioned or appearing in future books in this series. They are near and dear to my heart and I’d love to spend some more time with them. Being an animal lover, I really enjoy that this author is too; the furry friends adding even more to her already incredible stories. I can’t wait for what she has for us next. The line forms here…
