Sawyer, Sawyer, Sawyer, you have done it once again. You never fail to write a book that doesn’t have me hooked from the blurb! And holy smokin’ hot does Wicked Envy deliver! I have loved all the books in this series as well as the original Wicked Horse, all your books for that matter are some of my absolute favorites. Your writing style can be raw, gripping, gritty, emotional, sexy, frustrating, heartbreaking and real. You are one of the most versatile authors out there and I have yet to meet/read about a character that I didn’t like. Wicked Envy was just that…Wicked! I loved every minute.

What happens when your best friend of seventeen years has her heart broken and needs to find a way to forget and move forward? For Dane and Andrew that is a tough one. Dan belongs to the Wicked Horse Vegas, the one place that he can let loose and free himself from the hurt and heartache of his past. But when his best friend and business partner, Avril asks to spend a night there, he thinks it is the worst idea ever. Sometimes bad ideas can be the best medicine for a broken heart. Dane’s refusal to take her doesn’t stop Avril from attending. With Andrew along for the evening, she can only hope that what she sees will pique her interest and make her feel better about the current state of her love life. She gets a whole lot more than she bargained for. Never in her wildest dreams did she expect to feel so liberated and sexy. So much so, that she goes back for more.

Can three best friends embark on a friends-with-benefits type of relationship and still be able to make eye contact in the boardroom without feeling bad about what they are doing or will the guilt and embarrassment be too much for all of them to deal with? Once the line is crossed will emotions and feelings become part of the equation and create more stress for the three of them or are they all adult enough to compartmentalize what goes on behind closed doors and not mix business with pleasure? Seventeen years of friendship is at stake as these three embark on a roller coaster ride of emotions and unbelievable sexual chemistry. One will learn what it is like to finally care and to let go of the past, another will be able to find the happiness that she so desperately wants and the most level-headed one of the bunch will stand by as his best friends try to become more and hope that it will not tear them all apart for good.

I am a sucker for multiple POV’s in a book and with Wicked Envy, each character gets chapters with their POV. I love how the story just continues with each character change. There is no retelling of prior events like some author’s do. It gives great flow and perspective to the storyline. Allowing each character to have a voice allows the reader to learn more about them and what makes them tick. It helps the reader to understand the emotions that the characters are feeling and why they act the way they do. It adds more depth and dimension to the story as well.

The chemistry between Dane, Andrew and Avril is off the charts hot. It doesn’t matter how many books I have read by Sawyer, each one is fresh, new and gripping. The scenes are well written and entertaining. The characters are well developed and as I reader I feel like I have a front row seat to their lives. Sawyer has a knack for creating these sexy as hell scenes that never drag or feel overdone or drawn out. I love that there is always a character that has to learn to fight for what they want and to put their past to rest, it tugs at my heart just a little bit.

All though Wicked Envy can be read as a standalone, I would highly suggest that you grab books one and two and settle in for the long haul, you will not be disappointed.
